‘Very severe chronic pain’: Alec Baldwin undergoes major surgery
Renowned Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin has recently undergone surgery on his leg and is currently hospitalized. His wife, Hilaria, shared details about his condition with the public. In a joint photo, Hilaria can be seen alongside Alec lying in a hospital bed. The 65-year-old actor, dressed in a blue gown, managed to open his eyes and offer a smile, as reported by Voice.
Hilaria explained that Alec had been experiencing constant pain, which led to surgeons replacing his hip joint. She expressed her support, saying, “Alec got a new hip today. It’s something he’s needed for a long time. We’ve been through so much together. As your partner, I hope this surgery marks the end of severe chronic pain and brings a significant improvement to your quality of life.”
Grateful for the medical team’s assistance, Hilaria extended her thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the clinic who played a vital role in Alec’s safe recovery. Alec acknowledged the crucial support he received from his wife during this challenging time, responding, “And you. It’s thanks to you.”
The surgery took place two weeks after Alec’s return from filming a western movie, during which a tragic incident occurred, resulting in the death of the film’s cameraman, Galina Hutchins. Baldwin has been embroiled in a lawsuit related to the incident. In April, he successfully had the case against him dismissed.
On May 18, Alec became a grandfather for the first time. However, he has yet to meet his newborn granddaughter, Holland. His ex-wife, Kim Basinger, has been actively involved in babysitting their granddaughter in his absence.
