Celine Dion is frequently nicknamed the “One Hit Wonder”. This term is used to describe those who experienced a sudden surge in popularity and fortune, but could not repeat such accomplishments afterwards.
Although it is true that Dion achieved fame & fortune in 1997 through her song My Heart Will Go On for the movie Titanic, this isn’t the whole story when it comes to Dion. She has gone on to become one of the richest and most popular stars in the world.What can I say, this melody is still the singer’s calling card.
Dion’s achievements don’t stop there – she has released more than 20 albums, won Eurovision and been awarded numerous accolades. Additionally, her unique and bold sense of style has also earned her the title of fashion icon.
Recently, Celine has been scarcely seen in public – with her last noteworthy appearances happening back in March 2020. Since then, she has mainly kept in contact with her fans via social media, but not very frequently. Despite her disappearance from the scene, she occasionally gave interviews and dropped a new album. She even scheduled a major tour but had to hold off due to her mysterious health condition.
Dion has been having intermittent muscle pain for nearly a year now, which restricts her ability to work. Despite seeking medical help, she hasn’t been able to get a proper diagnosis yet. Doctors are yet clueless as to what could be causing it. These muscle spasms can occur for a variety of reasons, from thyroid problems to stress.
Although Celine has been away from the limelight for over two years, she is still determined to make a comeback. At this point in time, it’s uncertain when her return will be – however, she recently broke her seclusion to be photographed in public with a friend on a helipad in New York.
Dion still cut an unmistakable figure in her fashionable apparel – Gucci belt, eye-catching jewelry around her neck & a strip of bare belly visible under her stylish shirt. However, their fans were taken aback as they noticed that the star seemed to have aged considerably.
