Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire’s strong friendship began as a rivalry. Their selfless friendship has been going on for thirty years.

The boys had many things in common, such as their struggles in life. They both had to earn money from an early age by appearing in commercials. During the castings, they were “competitors” for each other and were not even interested in each other. But both had big goals.

Their next meeting was during the casting of the series “Parents” in 1990. At the time, Tobey thought DiCaprio would not get the lead role. But in the end, Leonardo got a better role than he did.

Over time, the boys became closer because they had the same social problems. They became friends and promised to always support each other. They had both good and bad days, but they didn’t leave each other. The friends starred together in This Boy’s Life and Great Gatsby.

DiCaprio wanted to star in the Akira anime, and Tobi wanted to produce such a project. They were also supportive of each other.
