The couple, Susan and Jim created a special center, where cubs left without a mother, are rescued and nursed. Here they appear for various reasons and each one is carefully looked after.

Some are released back into the free life, while others remain in the center forever. It depends on what kind of injuries they had when they got here.

The Orphaned Wildlife Center has been officially operating for 5 years, but before that, Susan and Jim had been engaged in animal rescue and rehabilitation for 15 years.

At the moment, about 11 individuals of different species live on the territory of the center, which will no longer be able to leave it.

All care work is done by the spouses themselves, only one employee handles paperwork.

The man was able to establish contact with all the bears that get to them. He treats them like his own children, bottle-fed them when they were just babies.

Jim is free to come up and hug any bear, play with the animal and even scratch behind the ear.
