Despite his current relationship with Heather Milligan, Arnold Schwarzenegger couldn’t help but express the love he still has for his ex-wife Maria Shriver. As reported by Focus, the actor lamented that he had caused a lot of pain to his loved ones because of his affair with a housekeeper.

After all is said and done, I’m moving on. I’m grateful for my girlfriend Heather Milligan as she’s accomplished a lot in her life; she deserves all the respect & admiration. I’m proud of her & love her dearly. But obviously, my wife will always remain close to my heart too.

He and She are great friends, who have developed a tight bond throughout the years. They also take pride in having successfully raised their kids together. Even through difficult times, they still manage to gather around on special occasions such as Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day or birthdays celebrations.

The ex-couple have four kids: two girls, Katherine and Christina, and two boys, Patrick and Christopher. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver began seeing each other in 1977 before their marriage in 1986. Unfortunately, the pair divorced in 2011 when Arnold confessed to having a child with their housekeeper. Following this, they eventually resolved the matter and closed their divorce this year (2021).

Despite still believing in love, the ex-governor of California stated that he does not yearn for marriage anymore.
