Dandelion-Girl With “Uncombable Hair Syndrome”: What Does a 10-Year-Old Girl Look Like Now?
This 10-year-old Melbourne girl, Sheela Calvert-Yin, has become an internet star. The girl was born with uncombable hair syndrome. Sheela is one of the few people who was born with this syndrome. There are only about 100 people on our planet with this syndrome.
Her hair has such a structure that it is practically not combed. Hair is silver or straw-colored. Hair gets tangled quickly and always sticks out. It is almost impossible to style hair in a beautiful hairstyle.
Doctors believe that by puberty the quality of the hair will change a little.
The girl’s mother, Celeste, admitted that the girl was born with the usual dark shade. Blond, spiky hair began to grow when the birth hair fell. New hair grew fast and stuck out to the sides.
When Shila was 4 years old, the girl began to feel embarrassed about her hair, noticing that her hair was not like that of other girls. But with the support of her family, Sheela was able to love herself the way she is.
Of course, strangers still pay attention to the girl’s hair and sometimes point their fingers at her, but Sheela is already used to this and does not worry about it.
Another inconvenience is the care of such hair. The girl wholeheartedly does not like the combing procedure. This takes about 20 minutes. The girl’s mother applies different sprays in order to be able to somehow tie them up.
Parents created an account for the girl in social networks. They regularly post photos of the girl. She already has several thousand followers.
Have you ever met people with this hair syndrome? Do you think it is very inconvenient to have such hair?
